The white Canada Goose Expedition Parka
I am a frostbite. Therefore, especially in winter, it is
always a challenge for me not to get sick and to find the right clothes that
keep me warm enough. Anyone who has followed me for a long time will know that
I've been a big fan of Canada Goose jackets / parkas for years and that I wore
one of these jackets for the first time in New-fangled York about four years
ago when the icy winter set in in New York overnight and the next morning I was
more than happy to have packed the thick and warm parka. Since then, I haven't
actually worn anything else in super cold temperatures / minus straight lines.
When we drove to Lapland for a week in January last year , I
was faced with completely new temperature challenges with minus straight lines
of up to -15 degrees. In this context I got to know one of the Canada Goose
Expedition Parkas for the first
time , which was designed for such
extreme temperatures and winter adventures in super cold areas.
Today I would like to familiarize you to a new Canada Goose
Standard Expedition Parka in white ,
which is not only super nice and warm, but also
the most sustainable parka from CG to date . While the design is inspired by the
previous Expedition Parka, this time it was developed with sustainable
materials "to keep our planet cold
and the people who live on it warm." The parka is available here for
both women and men .
A parka for
everyone
The adjustable, lined
hood has a shaped wire and is really
infinitely warm on the head. Anyway, I'm one of those people who gets cold ears
pretty quickly and, in this context, earaches relatively quickly. The hood
therefore also replaces a hat for me. The jacket also has a side seam zip , which offers freedom of
movement and the possibility of increased ventilation.
One of my favorite details is the adjustable drawstring on the inner waist of the jacket, as you can
adjust the shape and fit of the jacket (sometimes tighter, sometimes looser),
so you always have a good fit and the warmth is ideal Jacket holds.
Characteristic of the Canada Goose Parka are the numerous pockets , which of course should not
be missing in the standard Expedition Parka. There are a total of 6 outside
pockets and 3 inside pockets.
The sustainable elements of the new
Canada Goose Standard
Expedition Parka
Recycled
fabric
The parka has two different views: While the front is made
of undyed recycled polyester and organic
cotton , which are warm even in extremely cold weather conditions. This makes
the parka water-repellent and hard-wearing. The back of the parka, on the other
hand, is made of a super light material with a ripstop structure. This protects
especially in strong wind, rain and snow. It consists of 100% recycled nylon ,
which thanks to a water-repellent coating keeps it dry even in changeable
weather.
Less water
consumption
The standard parka uses around a quarter of the water that
is needed to manufacture a regular expedition parka. The recycled and organic
materials used (see above) generally need an eighth less water compared to the
materials normally used in the Expedition Parka.
100% recycled
nylon
The ultimate in weight and performance. Recycled
Feather-Light Ripstop is designed for strong wind, light rain and snow. In
addition, the ripstop construction increases strength and elasticity.
Smaller CO2 footprint possible
By using undyed recycled polyester and organic cotton for
the outer shell instead of a conventional dyed outer shell made of polyester
and cotton blends, 17% of the entire Expedition Parka CO2 footprint can be
saved. The standard expedition parka has 30% less CO2 emissions and 65% less
water consumption compared to the inline expedition parka.
Waste reduction
Arctic Tech made from recycled / organic material, recycled
lightweight ripstop material and reclaimed fur.
Sustainably obtained down
The down processed in the back of the parka is a 100%
sustainably obtained down filling.
Protection Extreme
The parka is a real all-rounder and the perfect companion in
all weather conditions. It is suitable for places with up to -30 ° C and
everything below. It was tested on site in the coldest places in the world.
